Donations
Donations can be dropped off at the Senior Center from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday. We’ll help you unload your trunk during the months they are open. We can not accept items during the winter months.
We are grateful for donations of clean, gently used goods;
Antiques, aprons, books, collectibles, costume jewelry, craft supplies, DVD movies, fabric, flatware, furniture (small), handbags, kitchen towels and gadgets, linens, lamps, music CD’s, pans, plates, pots, tools (small-hand & gardening), utensils, un-opened puzzles, watches, wheeled luggage, yarn, we are especially interested in silver-plated items.
Discontinued This Year
No Glassware including beverage, cocktail, and wine glass, no multi-piece place settings, no mirrors, picture frames, posters, or framed artwork. We simply do not have the space.
This year we are no longer accepting greeting cards, wrapping paper, bows, flower vases, briefcases, or dolls.
Sorry, We Cannot Accept The Following Items
Due to lack of storage space, child safety/health requirements, no access to recall notices, no testing equipment, or lack of interest in old technology:
No electronics such as VCR/CD/DVD players,
TV’s, cordless phones, film cameras, computers
and monitors, printers, keyboards etc.
No sports equipment including helmets, gloves, ice skates, racquets, bats, golf clubs, skis, etc.
No holiday decorations (Xmas, Halloween, Easter, Valentines, New Year, Birthdayss, Anniversaries, etc.)
No vinyl phonograph records, cassette tapes, or VCR tapes
No infant car seats, no strollers, no cribs, play yards, or pack & plays (aka playpens)
No clothing or footwear—we have no appropriate display racks. You can leave them in the book box between the Senior Center and the Barn.
Kindly check with your local Public Works Department for proper disposal of white goods, tires, bicycles, large furniture, mattresses, scrap metal, or hazardous waste. It costs us money to get rid of your refuse. Do not leave your “yard sale” leftovers in front of the Barn. If they didn’t sell for you, they probably won’t work for us.
Thank you for your cooperation. We are a group of dedicated volunteers trying to raise money for the seniors. We appreciate you following these guidelines so it doesn’t cost us money to dispose of items that are illegal, out of date, or past their prime.
Parking
Parking is free for your weekly pilgrimage of fun shopping for a home, playroom, dorm room, summer cottage, or your own barn!
